Mobile Mix Rooms

This is really just a fancy way to say that we can set up a mix stage pretty much anywhere. We did it for the first time on The Insider back in 1999, re-mixed entire sections of the movie and print-mastered in a environment the size of your living room. Best Sound Oscar nomination. We set up a similar room for pre-mixing the crowds and boxing effects for ALI, then again on The Rundown. Greg did all the pre-mixes for Friday Night Lights, The Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest, The Kingdom and Hancock in these same rooms. Never smart enough to say no,  Greg agreed to set up a room for Friday Night Lights the series down by their production offices. He mixes that show solo in two days. Now we are doing the same for Brian Grazer and Ron Howard on Parenthood.

So the concept works, and works well. If you’re interested give us a call and maybe we can help you out.

Gratuitous photo of something neato and nifty.

A photo of some sound geek sitting at a console is boring, so forget it. Instead here’s a photo of Greg recording a vintage Cessna 140 at Joels Dad’s house in Fort Worth. About 40 vintage airplanes came out to visit that day, so we recorded as many as we could.
