Gregory King• Has recorded everything. Guns, jet fighters, monsters from hell, butterflies. Greg has been the Sound Designer and/or mixer on over 70 films including Hancock, The Kingdom, Friday Night Lights and The Insider which received an Oscar nomination for Best Sound. Greg started his company in 1991 with the singular vision of collecting the best sound people on Earth and creating the most custom soundtrack possible. 18 years later we are the last of the small independent operations, crafting projects with enormous individual attention and care.

Lately, he’s supervised such films as Machine Gun Preacher, Your Highness, I love you Man, Flash of Genius, Along Came Polly and Michael Mann’s Ali. Darren plays hockey, and typically leads the league in penalty minutes, he’s always one swift elbow to the rib cage from the penalty box at all times.

Yann Delpuech (View Credits)• For our money he is the best sound effects editor/designer in the world. He has a funny name cuz he comes from a funny place: Gabon, Africa. Greg was on a recording expedition and discovered him living with apes in ’90. We taught him English and how to use a microphone; the rest is history. Reads Les Aventures de Tintin and hunts big game when not doing the sound thing.

Shaughnessy Hare• He is a hell of an Sound Designer and Mixer. Shaughnessy can do it all, and does. Currently he is Supervising and mixing Parenthood and Friday Night Lights, but he has also been a major player in all of our features from Ali to Hancock. When not cutting effects, Shaughnessy can drink more irish car bombs for his body mass then any other human being on Earth.

Joel Shryack• At a young age, coming out of a musical family, Joel realized sadly he wouldn’t become the next John Coltrane, so he became a sound man in the movies. He also flies airplanes, his Dad taught him, but he knew he wouldn’t be the next Chuck Yeager. So he decide to be the best sound guy he could. Joel supervised Walk Hard, Orange County, co-Supervised Friday Night Lights. Did TV Set, In the land of Women and Nancy Drew. Joel also has a bunch of pets that look just like him. Weird.

Mike McKone• Hails from the northern plains of Iowa – the Canada of Missouri. He traveled to California in search of sun, warmth, and adventure, but after showing high aptitude in ProTools and rapid-beard-growing, he decided to become a sound designer instead. Mike is currently the supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer on NBC’s Prime Suspect, and performing sound design duties on Universal’s Battleship.

Karen Dean• Karen is our account executive and facilities coordinator. She is the one you call to get things rolling. Karen has 20 years experience in sound operations, 12 of those as Executive Director of Sound Operations for Universal Studios. Karen’s has extensive experience working within projects big and small. That coupled with our innovative and flexible nature allows Karen to manage projects in the best and most creative way possible. A native of Louisiana, Karen brings some much needed southern charm to our little operation.
Crystal Grüetzmacher• Business Manager, Comptroller, dominatrix. While the rest of us are screwing around making stupid sounds, Crystal keeps the place running. She runs the business with a tight fist, whip and chains. We know that to mess with her, is to pay the price.
Jeena Schoenke• Yes, it rhymes with honkey. Jeena has been taking care of the ADR and dialogue duties around here for a while. For the last few seasons she has run a pretty tight ship on Parenthood and Friday Night Lights, always turning a track that befits two of the most critically acclaimed shows on television. Like the rest of us, Jeena has a long credit list of great movies, but FNL is such a great show, features can wait a while.
Barbara Noren• Dialogue and ADR editor superb, Barb brings something unique to our fold; a formal education. She never lets the rest of us forget this, and for this we are forever humbled. When she wants to have fun Barb calculates the trajectory of sound waves in the proximity of black holes.
E. Niles Klein• Has been the Dogs engineer for longer then we care to remember. He made extra money as a wrestler to pay his way through Purdue. We ask him to do impossible things and he gets them done. We can’t write what he does in his free time or the parental controls on your browser will kick in.
Jeffrey Dyal• Prior to joing our gang, Jeffrey proudly served his country working his poor sweaty butt off at the bottom of a missile silo. Now Jeffrey is one of our brightest up and coming sound designers and editors. Jeffrey recently completed the sound design on The Babymakers directed by the legendary Jay Chandrasekhar of the Broken Lizards.
Jonathan Greasley• Jon has been a student of all things audio since childhood, a pursuit that subsequently moved him from England to Los Angeles. As a young rock n’ roller Jon’s band toured in Ozzfest along side bands like Black Sabbath and the Deftones.
Craving more glamour, he gave up touring and decided to switch his ear to film sound. As you might have guessed, it’s all glamour all the time here at the KSW.

Dan Gamache•Dan is fresh out of Emerson College with a B.F.A. in Sound Design/Audio Post-Production. His BFA film project won ‘Best of the Fest’ at the Rochester International Film Festival. Before heading west Dan did a stint working for the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park and was often mistaken for Jacoby Ellsbury. Even though Dan is from Boston, we almost don’t hate him.
Barbara Delpuech• Just like Joel, Barbara started life as a boom operator working on set. From this experience she brings the unique skill of being able to stand motionless for hours with her arms raised above her head. Trading all that glory in for sound editing, Barbara is now a fantastic sound editor who creates beautiful tracks for all our shows.
