I believe that making a soundtrack is like making friends–you find the common aspects and then go about discovering what is unique. I know it’s an overused cliché but I do really love the storytelling aspect of moving pictures, and working with directors and actors in that process. My experience starts in production sound having worked with great directors like Robert Altman and Larry Kasden through to my many years in post working with the likes of Rob Reiner, Larry Kasden (again) and Peter Berg. In my spare time I’m an avid tenor player, I have a pet crow, and I make life size paper maché likenesses of Michelle Obama.
